Ketchikan has a great deal where every Spring they come around on trash day and take what ever you have for free.  It’s awesome in comparison to the land fill in Juneau where it cost $20.00 just to walk in.  Well, needless to say I took advantage of it.  Actually I have taken advantage of it the past 3 out of 5 years (missed a couple due to work) we have lived here to throw out piles of trash left in the basement since the 1950′s.  Yup for real, everything from a cat (mmmm, yea that one scared the shit out of me) to a pink sink.  I think one more “Spring Clean” and I’ll have it done!  In the photo you will notice I did contribute two items of my own to the pile.
